MAGIC is a very athletic 65 lb female. She covers ground in the upland with strength and endurance. Magic is very biddable. Like most of the Sauk River Dogs, a child can handle her...yet she is a high powered hunter. Magic tripod pointed her first bird at age 10 weeks. Magic has a very natural soft mouth. and a natural retrieve desire. The word "natural" always pops up when speaking of Magic. I certified her after working with her for just three weeks. Her pointing, retrieving, and mouth habits seem to be genetically "set" Magic is the daughter of GMPR Otter and GMPR Joli. She hunts in brace with Jake. I'd hate to be a pheasant in any field that those two enter. They are a great combination in the field and also as a breeding pair. I have kept three Jake x Magic pups (Comet and Phoenix and Skye). I have trained six of more Jake x Magic pups for clients. I feel that I know these dogs well. early December of 2006 I had a message on my answering machine from an owner of a Jake x Magic pup who was fresh out of the pheasant field saying; "Thanks for this dog. that's all I can say, just thanks".
